ABOUT US

Unleash your full potential at GoGoole TaeKwonDo, where the ancient art of TaeKwonDo is transformed into a journey of self-discovery and empowerment for all ages from 3 years old to seniors. Led by a GrandMaster who has guided Olympians and passionate instructors nurtured within the school's legacy, GoGoole TaeKwonDo is renowned as the only school in Torrance with 50+ active Black Belts certified by Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters. Join the GoGoole family and let the spirit of respect, confidence, teamwork, and discipline shape you into a healthy and successful leader of tomorrow.

Our Taekwondo Dojang is more than just a place for physical training—it is a space where both the body and mind are cultivated. Unlike other sports such as Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, soccer, and basketball, Taekwondo emphasizes a disciplined training process and mental growth.

At our Dojang, students learn and practice the core tenets of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit. These values are not only applied during training but also encouraged in daily life. Through a structured belt promotion system, students develop a sense of achievement and the ability to set and accomplish goals.

Additionally, students have the opportunity to earn a Kukkiwon-certified black belt, which is globally recognized, making Taekwondo more than just a sport—it is a lifelong martial arts journey. Beyond physical fitness, our training enhances confidence, focus, and self-discipline, setting it apart from other athletic activities.

Join our Taekwondo Dojang and experience the true essence of martial arts while discovering the joy of personal growth!

Mission Statement

GrandMaster Kim lives by the five tenets of Taekwondo—Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control, and Indomitable Spirit—and knows from experience that physical training in a community held by these moral guideposts creates a resilient spirit to help weather all life's challenges, on or off the mat. GrandMaster Kim believes that the physical and mental benefits of Taekwondo should not be limited to those who could traditionally afford it, and is deeply committed to creating access opportunities for all those who feel called to the sport, regardless of ability to pay. Having gained so much over his own life from Taekwondo, it is his personal honor to teach at a Dojang which will welcome students and their families (of all ages and backgrounds) into the community as well.

As GrandMaster Kim, his mission is to foster leadership and personal growth among students through the practice of Taekwondo. With a wealth of experience teaching at the Taekwondo Department of Kazakhstan National University, coaching at the 2004 Athens Olympics, and guiding students at Sangmu Taekwondo in Vancouver, Friendship Taekwondo in Frankfurt, and Yuanhe Taekwondo in Shanghai, he is committed to instilling core values of respect, leadership, and global citizenship.

At the heart of his approach is the belief that Taekwondo is more than a martial art—it is a powerful tool for personal and communal development. By emphasizing respect for oneself and others, self-management, and teamwork, he strives to empower students to become positive contributors to their communities. His goal is to make a meaningful impact one student and one family at a time, guiding them towards a path of healthy and positive growth that extends beyond the dojang.

Through dedication and compassion, he aims to create a nurturing environment where students can realize their full potential and embrace their social responsibilities as future leaders.
